Day 2437: Terrific Trish Raut - Miss England Semifinalist

When asked for her introductions, Trish draws a flight route from Hong Kong to Nepal to England to Nepal to England. It doesn’t look easy to be a global citizen. Born in Hong Kong; brought up in Nepal and England, she might have fought her demons, crushed crisis of identity, conquered clash of culture but certainly hasn’t lost her pride and dignity.

She is brave; brave enough to participate in #MissEngland amidst controversies about these beauty pageant. Probably, the first Nepali in Miss England.

The semifinalist, around 150 selected from about 20,000 participants, Trish Raut stands tall and proud, introduces herself as Gurkha’s Daughter, calls herself British, self proclaims to be the queen and I call her a silly friend.

Day 2402: Chasing Pavement

I have had a colourful, crashing and openly polygamous relationship with my cars for several years. During this time I have had opportunity to ride many of them of varying shapes, sizes, colours and models. In fact, I had new relationship every year for last few years. But after my latest stand off I’m bit bored of all the hoo-haa and drama that comes with it. So, I have decided to travel single for sometime and mingle with other singletons on the public transport.

On the second day, I rode bike to the station and took train to work, but forgot to pack my deodorant. So, I don’t think I’ll be leaving any fresh impression on many. Apologies!
