The historic day for a Nepali Cinema to be on the ‘Read O Graph’ at the heart of London, Leicester Square.

Let’s meet at 3.00PM tonight for the opening ceremony of first ever Nepali Film Festival in the UK at the Prince Charles Cinema, 7 Leicester Palace, Leicester Square, London WC2H 7BY.

Day 3728 - Nepali Film Festival

The ‘Nepali Film Festival - London’ is being organised by the Third Eye team for the first time in the UK.

The opening ceremony will be held on Saturday 18 February 2023 at the Prince Charles Cinema, 7 Leicester Palace, Leicester Square, London WC2H 7BY.

The closing ceremony will be held at the Empire Aldershot on Saturday, 25 February 2023. Over 2 dozen popular film artists and technicians from Nepal are expected to attend the closing ceremony.

Day 3722: Meeting Milestones

I completed a half marathon on treadmill, yesterday. And I must admit it was a huge struggle. I started well but after 15K, I started to have some problems. First it got very boring, second I started to feel aches and pain on my joints, the feeling that multiple leg muscles may start to have cramps (This could be totally psychological) and my drink ran out.

However, I pushed through to 18K but I had to brisk walk for just over 2K and finally managed run the last bit for about 10 minutes. When I reduced my speed from 9.5 to 5 after 18K, I had a feeling that I was about to have a calf muscle cramp. I, almost, had to stop.

After the run I felt very cold and stood in a hot shower for good few minutes. I wasn’t tired as such but most of my leg muscles and joints were hurting. It must be because they been on an unfamiliar territory.

This is the first time I have got to London Marathon through ballot after applying continuously for 14 years, since 2008, since my first marathon. I received the notification in November last year. I planned to start training in early December but it was disrupted by mysterious virus which knocked me out for almost 4 weeks. So, my real training only started in the 2nd week of January. I’m proud that I have been able to complete half marathon on Treadmill within the 4 weeks of training. (This is not the advice I would give to anyone)

Anyway, the milesstone of half marathon is met. I just need to continually train and not get ill or injured till 28 April 2023. Hopefully, I will get to enjoy London Marathon much more that the half Marathon I did on Treadmill, yesterday.
